engine trouble
I have a 2002 f250 superduty with a 5.4 v8 it starts up fine when I fire it up for the first time of the day and if I leave it running it'll run all day but of I shut it off it does not wanna stay running It doesent matter if I only take it two blocks down the road or fifty miles when I shut it off an try to start it again the engine stumbles an I have to floor the gas to get it to start an after it starts I floor the gas an it'll stumble an when I get it to rev up I'm spittin a little black smoke an then I have to let it run a little and double foot the gas n brake when i put it in gear or it will die and I have to double foot it at stops or it will die as well until its ran for like 20 min or so I don't know what it is there's allot of miles on the motor 287000 but I still don't wanna drop a new motor in it if I don't need it.if anybody has any ideas please let me know b4 I waste the money on a new motor an if I do need to change out the motor I was gonna try to drop a diesel in it if unless I need to change the computer an everythin i don't know hit me up
