I brought my truck in for some issues.
The dealership replaced my drivers seat belt buckle (receiver broke)
They took the dash out to replace the broken A/C parts
And they reflashed my computer.
The A/C and reflashed computer really made driving the truck that much nicer.
Its a 2012 F350XL 6.2 Reg Cab 4x4 with 3.73 gears.
I only drive on regular town roads so I don't have any highway data.
Combined towing and running somewhat empty I now get 12.6mpg's
I nearly always tow my 6x10 enclosed trailer full of landscaping equipment and about 450lbs of tools in my tool box.
Before the computer got reflashed I was getting 11.7mpg's.
Now the transmission shifts much better and I travel more miles per tank.
running back and forth to work right now is 20 miles of rural county highways with 10 stop signs and I got 15.5 by hand and 15.8 on the dash.....very impressive. I'm getting around 9 towing my 24' TT.
The Outfitter Apex8 popup truck camper is loaded and we are ready to blast off for Michigan tomorrow with the return trip through the Smokey Mountains.
We will keep a record of how the mileage goes.

Early this AM I made a trip to Dallas and back. From here it is about 100 miles to the 635 (LBJ) junction with US-75. 24 mi. of mostly two lane from here to US-75. Using the Lie Meter I got 16.7 down there and back, 200 mi. trip. Set the cruise at 68 on four lane US-75. Got a little over 4K on the truck. Running LT265/70R17E's. Also have an AVS bug shield. Installed the shield at 3K. No noticeable difference in MPG after the shield install. I have checked the MPG several times and 16.7 is pretty close to what the truck is averaging on road trips. The best average so far has been 17.1 and that was about a 80 mi. one-way trip on US-75. Not bad at all, no complaints, much better than my old 2004 F250 4x4 V10 with 3.73. Haven't yet pulled the Palomino hybrid RV. Will report the MPG after we haul the trailer somewhere. I reset the readout in the driveway before we headed to Dallas. I am very pleased with this new F250.
The F250 really did a good job with the truck camper. Our lowest tank mileage was 11.3 and the best was 12.8. I saw the mileage computer as low as 11 and as high as 13. Needless to say I was very well pleased.
2011 F350 4X4 CC LB King Ranch 4.30 pulling a high profile 12,000# 5th wheel to TX a little over 600 miles with some bad headwinds I was right at 8.7. I picked up our new slidein truck camper and loaded it with the things we brought in our 5er so we could use it on the way back and heading out for the rest of the week. We hit some more head winds but mileage went up to 11. This is an almost 4000# camper on it. No problems with hills, plenty of power if you want to put the go pedal down a little.

Butch50 - How you doing on mileage empty at highway speeds of 65 to 70? I see 2000Silverbullet averaging around 10.2 at speeds alittle more than that. I've got alot of wind in my area too. Thanks.
