Hey all, I have an 07 F350 Harley Crew Cab LB. It has an 8" Coilover Fab-Tech lift. Currently it has 20x10 Jesse James Lawless 8 with -44 offset and 38x13.50's, these stick out about 3.5 inches. I love the look but not the road dirt that keeps wanting to scratch my windows. I have replace al the glass and seals (no help, it's the dirt off the tires). I plan on getting new tires (same size) and new XD Deisel rims also same size but with an offset that brings them in. I am putting on Bushwacker pocket flares which will gain me about 2", but I am at a loss as the the proper backspacing to bring me as flush as possible without looking too narrow. I believe my two best choices are -11 and -24. All response is appreciated. Thanks
Check how much space you have on the inside at full lock each way first. I think the stock wheels have about 5 inch backspacing (please check, my memory is not so good) so you could go to a 10 inch rim with 0 offset (theoretically) which would bring the tire in 44 mm or about an inch and a half BUT the tires are a lot taller than stock. A nine inch rim with the same backspacing would be about 12 mm positive, but the tire would bulge more. I'm sure others will chime in with more info.
I actually have plenty of room to come in but my desire is to make the tire match flush with the Bushwacker fender flares to be as wide as possible without being outside and flinging road grime all over the sides and scratching my new windows.
