I put a Dodge radiator in my 52 F1, it took some metal work to get it to fit but it did and seems to work well. I think if you search this forum for Dodge radiator you will find all you need. I did and I'm pretty dumb!

I also installed a dodge truck radiator. It was pretty easy. Bobby originally discovered this fitment and you can buy them at any parts store pretty cheap. Get the mid 70's dodge pickup radiator for a v8. There may be two listed, it's the narrower of the two. The brackets on the side bolt to the back of the F1 radiator support after you drill some holes. I shopped it pretty hard and paid about $175 from Checker a couple of years ago. Much cheaper than buying one of the $500 hot rod specials.

I just so happen to have a radiator from a 53 F500 sitting right next to a radiator support for a 48--52 truck. I'll look at it when I get home tonight and let you know.

btw I'm not one of the smart ones, But "I do know what love is"

love of old trucks and parts that is...

The 48-52 rad support is 23.5" from radiator bolt mounting hole to hole. the 53 radiator is 24.5" mounting hole to hole. if the mounting flange on the support were to be shaved a slight amount it appears that it may fit if you slid it down from the top. not sure how it would fit at the bottom of the support though?

i looked at a 52 f4 last year that had a y block in it, wish i had paid more attention to what it had.
my f1 had a chev 283 in it when i got it, they had just blocked off the two radiator connections they didnt need. not sure if thats the best way but i dont see why not?

my problem is that i need the top hole either at center to passenger side, and the bottom hole on the drivers side. 70's model ford truck is only one i can find.

I'm using a 68 Mustang radiator 3 row (for a 390 engine) in my 49 with my 302. It is not a great fit in the 48-52 because it is a little too wide so I'll be mounting it to the front side of the radiator support with homemade brackets. The outlets are located top right and bottom left.
