Engine sounds like a desiel truck???
Hey guys and gals I wanted to tell you about a problem that I have come across here in these forums and on the Web.
I replaced my spark plugs with autolite high tread/spark plugs that I had bought at AutoZone for $11.99 each and realized after a while that a "Diesel like sounds" coming from my engine but thought nothing of it until my brother asked me what that "Diesel" engine sound was.
I ignored him and told him that I had read in my treads that this was "natural" and that most ford owners have disregarded it. Well come to find out that when I was driving up hill on a mountain my truck started sputtering and gave me a check engine light.
so when I got home I decided to replace the plugs with (original MOTORCRAFT plugs (Part Number: SP-515) $12.99 that were just a dollar more and my truck runs better and a lot more smother and my "diesel engine “sound is gone. Just an FYI<?xml:namespace prefix = v ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:vml" /><v:shapetype id=_x0000_t75 stroked="f" filled="f" path="m@4@5l@4@11@9@11@9@5xe" oreferrelative="t" o:spt="75" coordsize="21600,21600"> </v:shapetype> hope this helps!<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>
