i was reading in a hot rod magazine that moroso makes a vaccuum pump and installing it will give you like 20-30 horsepower(???). wouldnt an a/c compressor work the same if it were set up right?
I think you're referring to the pump for venting crankcase pressure. What works on a race car doesn't always perform well on the street.
AC compressors aren't designed for air. I really doubt it will pump enough volume to keep pace with crank case pressure.
