Well after my issues with getting the water pumb replaced i moved on to trying to figure out why my heater wasnt blowing hot. tonight i took it up to a friends shop and we hooked a smoke machine to the vacume lines and discover that the heater control valve is bad. also while having it hooked up to the smoker we say that there was smoke coming out of the EGR valve. so both of those parts are getting replaced tomorrow. so i hope that by time i go to bed tomorrow i have a heater that heats. because it is really cold without it.
Yeah its bad *** works great if you have a vacume leak or a bad egr like I do it will find it. I know for a fact you can get one through snap on tools but not sure on cost.
The smoke/haze machine to test air flow and vacuum is common practice for me but then they are common equipment in my line of work so easy to come by. But then I use high-intensity stage-lighting fixtures to heat thermally reactive sensors without running the engine too.
