CHT sensor

Is there a special tool to remove a cylinder head temperature sensor (left front bank under intake manifold) 2000 F150 4.6L 4x4 . Chilton says to remove intake, but I can see the sensor after removing the alternator and unplug the connector but getting a wrench or socket on it doesn't seem possible unless it's been fabricated to fit the sensor. Anyone have any ideas on a tool?

Thanks

necessity is the mother of invention, if you think you can make somethin work, try it, other than that, im not aware of a tool for that.

Use a Snap-On 19mm rounded deep 12 point crowfoot wrench with a 3/8 ball type swivel, 12" extention & ratchet.
I just changed mine (you do NOT have to remove the intake manifold). It took me 20 minutes total.

Good Luck, Guage
