My exhaust is leaking on both sides where it connects to the manifold, I replaced the donut seals just to quiet it down but the rest of the exhaust is in bad shape also. So can I buy a SS exhaust all the pieces and parts from a parts store and hook it up myself and use clamps where the pieces connect together? I dont want to spend no more then $250 or is it just better to take it to a muffler/exhaust shop?

For peace of mind, go to a muffler shop and see if they have a used muffler/exhaust that came off a newer vehicle laying around. Also, why stainless? Will this be a show truck? If you do buy a new DIY system, galvanized will give you plenty of years worth of service. Just make sure that you have good hangers for the pipe. And for all others seeking more flow out there, do the geometry. one 3" pipe will move more than two 2" pipes.
Agreed. A guy I used to work for would only charge that much for a system installed with new parts. Shop around and try an independent muffler shop. (not a chain store) You may just find a deal.
