What parts do I need?

Okay, some of you may have read before that my front and rear lug patterns are different, and I was planning on getting a new rear end from the JY. Well, I was wondering, what all would have to be repalaced if I took my 5x4.5 fronts to the 5x5.5 like the one on the rearend I have? I first thought just the brake rotors and calipers, but then I remembered the hub is a different size also. Only thing is if I keep the 9" rear I have I'll want to change out the gear for better highway effenciancy. With my 3-speed auto its shifting out of 1st before I hit 5 mph.

You may need to grab the spindles too.

You are going to need both front beams. Both beams from the pivot all the way out with the spnidles, brakes, everything. Jut unbolt the whole thing and bolt it under your truck. You can't mix and match pieces and make it work.

Although I'd like to have the larger lug pattern, its sounding more and more like I need to just find a good JY swap for the rear end/axel.

If you want the larger brakes, and possibly someday may buy the lowering beams they sell, you need to swap the front. I do not know how common the proper rear axle is in your area, it will have to come from a f100 with the smaller pattern. That is limited to the very early 80's trucks, while the f150's that have the large pattern are more common all the way up into the 90's.
