hey guys i found a working pcm of ebay and traz wires i need for my 96 to make all work right asking 250 for pcm and tranz wires is that a good deal or not thanks
yeah but i will get the tranz wire from tranz up to the plug, iam useing the mone off my 93 doner truck now, i just ran a wire to selinoid with a push button to start .. so with the right pcm and wires i should be able to plug in and go right?
no get the man pcm? after i did my swap i had cruise but i had the lope, i didnt do any pin fix to have back up or transfer case light and it didnt start so i did a push button, but i had cruise but when i had the chip re done to lose the lope i lost crusie, so i was thinking with a man pcm and right wire i should be able to get chip re done and have cruise and all wire working right... right lol or you think there will still be pins and wires to be moved

With a manunl pcm and a manual trans harness you will everything can work properly with a few minor wiring modifications.
1) The two red/blue wires that are on the truck side of the trans harness plug need to be connected to give the truck the ability to start with the key. You can either cut and splice them on the truck side of that plug (as we did) or move some pins in the trans side of the plug and make a jumper to connect them. The manual trans harness has no pins in those positions, so you'll have to put them there.
2) The two wires in the manual trans harness that go to the t-case for 4x4 lights need to swap pin locations on the trans side of the plug to match the pin locations on the truck side of the plug. They need to be moved from positions 15 and 16 to positions 5 and 6. Very simple to do, just be careful taking the back off the plug so not to break it.
3) The tan/blue wire on the clutch pedal position switch on the master cylinder push rod needs to be connected to the tan/white wire that comes out of the pcm harness off of pin #29 on the pcm. This wire goes to the small plug in the steering colum that plugs to the auto shifter for the o/d cancel button. We cut the tan/white wire right there at the small plug on the steering colum, spliced to it and ran a wire back down the colum to the clutch pedal position switch and spliced to the tan/blue wire there. That connection can also be made under the hood if trace the tan/blue wire from the main harness plug that goes through the firewall to a cruise control servo something or other. I discovered this last night while researching some wiring digrams of the cluth switch wiring.
4) With the manual pcm you will not have the romping start.
BTW! Make sure your brake light bulbs are all good, especially the third brake light. If not, your cruise won't work!! Oh yeah, it's true, it happened to us. Will drive you nuts trying to figure that one out!!!
