I have noticed some after market emblems (lettering) that reads SUPER DUTY. These letters are for the indentations on the glove box door and the tail gate. My question is - are they hard to put on so they look straight and look professional? Do many of you new truck owners have them?
They are not bad to install but do take a little skill, takes about 10min with a little bit of soap & water.
I would practice installing the ones on the tailgate and hood first before the dash.
The tailgate emblems I put on were actually thin polished stainless steel inserts, fairly easy to install. I put vinyl silver letters on my glove box using a little bit of dish soap and water dabbed with a Q tip on the glove box letters and then was able to easily position the vinyl letters and then just dry 'patted' the letters and let them sit of a few hours. The next glove box letters will be stainless steel inserts.
I put on the emblems from eurosportsdaytona.com with ease. I did the hood and tailgate so far. The letters are raised and manuverable while setting in place. Would imagine the thinner the decal the harder it would be.
I tried to go to the web site you mentioned ( eurosportsdaytona.com ) however, it comes back as no such website.
I have an extra set of lettering for the front grille and tailgate in
Metallic Bronze to complement the OEM Adobe color. It is Ford licensed product so they are perfect fit, $30 for both sets shipped. PM me if you are interested.
Agree, if they came in Adobe, I'm in for a set on the tailgate.
The metallic bronze is what the dealer suggested for the adobe accent. It is just a richer tone of that color to complement the adobe. You rarely will find emblem or lettering in the same color of the paint/tone scheme. FYI, I really like the bronze color and the way it turned out, I think the richer tone adds a punch.
