Battery Removal

ok this ford has been on no maintanence for a long time.
my fault. a little.
i go to take battery out to charge it 'the right way'.
it has 'single use' skinny little bat hold down bolt.
it's like buying a printer and they give you 'starter' ink cartridges,
half full ones.
they want 30 grand for a bottom of the line nothing pickup and
they give it to you with all this flimsy 'single use' garbagola on it?
oooh! that makes me so mad!
i'm going to write my congressman!

But more importantly how can we here help?
I had this same problem with the bolt snapping off clean where I had to drill and tap the existing body-mounted support bracket. This time I used a dab of anti-seize and hopefully won't have to deal with this again.
