I guess you are going "***** deep" in some fresh white snow? Have fun! The truck getting you to the fun is the best truck on the road, or that's just what I heard....
I just got back last night from a 3 day weekend trip from N Illinois to the UP ( Upper *****ula Michigan) with 2 buddies. We drove straight to Munising where they were supposed to have a decent base, if Icy and expecting snow over the weekend. It started snowing around Midnight or so, snowed all-day Friday, Friday night and Saturday morning - all within about 25 miles East & West of Munising. I guess they got 6 inches total - not much but it was good since they has a fair base of snow/Ice.
We rode pretty hard Friday, then took it easier Saturday picking non-groomed trails and racked up about 270 miles or so total through Sunday at 10:30 when we loaded up and came home - We are not about putting on miles as much as we are about having fun. We would rather take a 1 mile trail through the woods at 15 MPH rather than a groomed RR track at 70 MPH!
I too bought a new Ski Doo this year and am only just now getting it out of the break-in eprom.
The F250 averaged 12.1 MPG round trip pulling an 18ft w V-Nose - (14ft box) enclosed Alumininum trailer, at 75-80 MPH all the way. The trailer is what would normally be considered a 2-place enclosed trailer but with the V-Nose, we can easilty accomodate 3 sleds by backing them all in with the middle one going up to the front of the V. Otherwise we have to pull my buddies 20 Ft, 8ft wide steel trailer and mileage drops to 9 MPG at 75MPH.
We had a blast. My buddies 29 year-old son drove on the way back and he keeps telling me this is his truck when I get rid of it in 7 years or so, so he makes sure I take good care of it. The truck is dream and and seemingly effortlessly pulls anything I put behind it.
