That all depends on the truck. If it's the truck I want, in great shape and for a reasonable price then location doesn't matter. I'll ship or go pick up or whatever.
As for price, I'd like to keep it under 5k. I've seen a few that were what I wanted for that or less. I don't need a show truck, but of course, the nicer the better.
I keep a pretty good eye on Craigslist, Ebay, Oldfordtrucks.com (emailed a guy about one on there now, no response yet) and Fordification.
But there are so many other sources out there from local papers to local classified mags and smaller websites and even just word or mouth or spotting one sitting in someone's yard. I can't cover all those.
@militarymonark I believe that as well. But finding it is the problem. Someone gave me a possible lead on one at a scrap yard but I can't get them to answer the phone. Just going to take some work I say.
Exactly how I found mine. Wasn't advertised at all and was sitting off the side of the road with a 4 sale sign. I had to double back! Don't even live there and was just on vacation! Meant to be I guess... You'll find one eventually!
