I have seen this 5th wheel camper that I might be interested in. my concern is more with my truck than the camper.
The camper looks fairly new, about 18'-20' (from back of truck) with a tandem axle.
My truck is a 92 F150 4x4, with a 300-6 and a 5 speed. It is a shortbox regular cab pickup. The rear springs have been replaced and are heavier than stock (not sure how much heavier)
My question is, Will my truck handle this (or another) 5th wheel camper, or should I stick with the normal trailer style camper?
You definitely need more truck.. that 6 will die going up hills.. or change the engine to at least a 302 with an auto , with min. 3.55 rears..buy a pop up instead.
