Trans fluid type?
I am draining the trans (auto) on my E99 F350.
What kind of fluid should I use.
The manual says Mercon but all that seems to be available these days is Mercon V.
Are these two compatable?
Can I go ahead and use Mercon V in my auto trans?

In 2006 ford changed it's stance on using mercon v in mercon applications. I believe in your manual it says not to, but now ford says it's ok. That still bothered me, so I use amsoil synthetic in mine. Hope this helps!
