spare tire lock?

Aaahhhh Grasshopper. Spare tire lock is like spare tire air pressure. If you never check it, it will not work when you need it!
I think the door-only key will work that lock. I carry that key in my wallet since I manage to lock myself out of my truck about once a year.

Spare Tire lock is worthless! 
When you need it, it is frozen up! You can lube it all you want, but when you need it forget it. Happened to me, lost valuable time trying to get flat to shop to repair before they closed... Yeah.. . forget it.. I just yanked mine out and never put it back in. If the idiots really need my spare and are desperate enough to get at it... Have at it!! It is not worth my hassle to keep the lock on it. Alot of work goes into getting the spare down without having to screw with the lock. Maybe some like it, but not here in the Wisconsin winters! Just my 2 cents worth..
