1998 Ford Ranger

Hey ya'll, i've been on this site for a while rebuilding a 1955 ford f100, and recently purchased a 1998 Ranger, 3.0 4x4 with 84,000 miles on it.

Here's the problem,
I did a break job two weeks ago, new pads, and new rotors, Both durmax brand.

I also replaced the Caliper guide pins, and then topped off the brake fluid.

Well this morning my Brake light came on. I'm at work and couldn't get under the hood to check anything out.
Any ideas whats wrong.

first thought for the brake light being on is fluid level. Would look at the resevoiour under the hood, if low, top it off. Then look at the wheels for wetness so see where/if its leaking.

I have a 98 2wd. The E-brake uses the same warning light. My E-brake causes the light to stay on almost every time. I just stick my toe under the E-brake peddle and pull up on it while holding the release lever out.
