... I tapped the starter with a hammer and it started right up. Ok I get the starter rebuilt, starts fine. A few days later...wont start after sitting a couple days....
Just an observation, but this all started after replacing the Starter with a Rebuilt starter Correct? Perhaps it's Draining through there?
FWIW, all, a quick and dirty check for bad diodes in your alternator. With the engine off and cooled down completely (like overnight) open the hood and check the alternator temperature with your hand, if it is hot or noticeably warmer than everything else, the diodes are bad.
I found I had already told you this one a while back. I do have the 1996 EVTM as my truck now has 1996 wiring harnesses in it. If you pull all the fuses in the underhood box, it will kill all power to inside the truck including the underhood light as it feeds from the courtesy lamp circuit. There is even a radio memory fuse in there.
