Hello guys, It time I brake down and buy a scan tool. I wanted to know what you guys have, I do have a snap on account that will help me out if I go that way. What do u guys have? A friend has a cheap advance auto one and I just found out it will not read my truck.
That a little more then I wanted to spend. Was trying to stay under $200.00! I was looking at this and woundering if it any good? YA31000, Diagnostic Tool, CanOBD2
Let me know what you find out. I'd like to have a decent scanner that will work for my truck and other vehicles as well. I would ultimately like to have an aeroforce interceptor gauge in my truck, but I need to think about having a scan tool that will work for other things as well.
Do you know whether you can purchase the package that will allow you to use the AE for other manufacturers as well? I would assume there is a way to unlock it to work for more than Ford, but I don't know what it would cost.
I too like the Auto Enginuity. It does everything I've needed it to do so far, plus some..
Doug, something to think about.. Going by the information given on the scanner you posted, it may not do any testing such as buzz test, CCT, KOER, and KOEO. Just something to check for if you do demo it.
That was over my price range. I will see my snap on dealer tomorrow afternoon and we will be talking about one. We tallked a little today and he said the Eesc71pro is a nice scanner for a total of $375. I will report back with what I can find out.
