I just installed a Curt front mount receiver #31026 on my 92 F150 4x4. Easy installation.. BUT the design of the receiver is HORRIBLE.
Here's a couple photos, first one of my Warn multi-mount winch sitting on the ground, (it won't even come close to fitting) and the 2nd is of a ball hitch where the ball is under the front bumper. Yes it is an OEM front bumper.
I'm going to have to cut the receiver apart, redesign and weld it back together to make it useable. Luckily for me, my uncle is a certified welder and can do the work to it quite easily.
and raise that receiver tube until it is almost touching the bumper. that thing is way too low like it is. what do you have to the bottom of the tube, about 10-11 inches?
