Lol well this is my 3rd truck with it being done and it's the only one I have watched. FYI for anyone doing this the trailer light plug in the bed comes out. Here's how. Remove 2 bolts and then the retainer clip falls into bed where you think you will never find it again and the it shows up on the ground. Then just pull plug away from bed and remove wire harness from outer plug.
That's a good thing they're taking the wire wheel to it. If they don't do the proper prep work like that it can just peel out of there in big chunks. You can find some el-cheapo places for spray in liners and they skip stuff like prep work and a couple years down the road it's a bad deal.
I did Line-x and they guarantee it for life. Funny, I tried to order it with Ford's spray in liner and the salesrep said I should get the Line-x instead.

My dealer told me the same thing. I went with Line-x. It was cheaper than the dealer and they back it up!

The local shop uses an Arctic spray in liner as they call it. The brand is Polyshield™ SS-100 and suppose to be rated to -70 (f) below.
So far its been great. I haul firewood with mine and no peeling or scratching. They warranty it for everything except snowmobiles, the skags will scratch the liner.
For what's it's worth I had the factory one done. I have had dirt, mulch, sand, stone and taken it all out with my tractor's bucket. I still haven't scratched it yet. Some of the scrapping sounds it made I thought for sure I had gone thru it, just hosed it out and good as new. Holding up great.

Mine cost me $350. I had it done buns line-x installer who happens to be located 3 miles from my house. It took about 3 hours start to finish.
