It is 1997 f350 diesel crew cab long bed 4x4 (168.4 wheel base). Rear driveshaft is a 2-piece driveshaft with carrier bearing. Now it is a ZF5S-47 transmission. It seems that if i can take off the center bearing off the front driveshaft and take the first section off the rear driveshaft, I could switch them because they are now the exact length but in the wrong spots. Would this even work out? Sense I am in Ca, we have pick and pulls here. I believe i can get driveshafts from there off any 2 wheel drive ford f250/s350 manual or automatic, they have the same lengths.
168" WB Crew Cab M.T. 4x4 8-445 (7.3L, diesel)
133" WB M.T. 4x4 8-445 (7.3L, diesel)
155" WB M.T. 8-351W (5.8L)
168" WB Crew Cab M.T. 4x4 8-460 (7.5L)
what does the 8-445 or the 8-460 mean?
The 8-445 means the engine is a 8 cylinder with a displacement of 445 cubic inches (the 7.3). The same is for the 460 engine.

Could someone tell me the length for a rwd, ext cap Long bed with E4od? Mainly looking for the front half of the shaft, measured from front of carrier bearing to on-point center (since there's a slip-yolk that could affect u-joint to u-joint)
