Just the harness is a good mod; more power straight to the lamps and less power going on a useless trip thru the light switch. That harness from Susquehanna looks well made, but for less money you can get the complete DDM kit, HID lamps ballasts and a harness. The down side of the HID kit is a replacement lamp is not available at every auto parts store like a 9007.

I sent an E-mail to them but dose anybody know the part number of this harness. And I did notice this bulb is a Halogen bulb 100/80 correct. Thanks Chet
pretty easy to install, it took me about an hour maybe a little more because I hid the ballast and stuff to make it look nice and neat. Here's the link to them

Yeah Chet, just tell them you want the 80/100 Hella bulbs and the harness for the make and model of your truck.
you'll really like the upgrade
You dont need any of that stuff. I just picked my wattage, bulb color and bulb type and your good to go.
Yup, the basic kit has everything, lamps, ballasts, and harness, only option you want is the hi/lo so you have high and low beams. I have the 55w but I bet the 35w is fine. I chose 4500k so it looks more normal to police with quotas to fill.
The DDM website has a wealth of info on pdf but it can be hard to find. I have had absolutely zero response to either emails or calls, but that's ok if you are a DIYer willing to look for yourself.
Other things to know; you may need rf chokes on the power lines to suppress electronic interference with your tuner or chip. And the harness that connects to the oem headlight plug often has reversed polarity, ie you need to switch the wires in the plug or your highs will be low and your lows will be high. Hope that makes sense. And you may need to adjust your headlight beam down to keep from blinding oncoming drivers. I got a second set of lamps as spares and they sent pretty much another kit less the ballasts. Since I put the rf chokes on I've had perfect operation every time.
Overall a bit more trouble than slapping in some Silverstars, but you get more too.
So are there any bulbs anyone uses for a quick fix as far as a little more light without spending $$$ on harnesses or Hids? I'm thinking a plug and play. Does anyone use bulbs brighter than stock without the harness with good results? Or is the upgraded harness or an Hid package a must? Thanks!

Did you see my post above? I use HELLA bulbs. Cheap, and bright. They arent HID bright, but they are bright.
