Either a clueless ebay seller, or is attempting "to pull the wool over peeps eyes."Made in China, very recently, prolly no more than a month ago.
I have the exact same box, except there's a red 1965 F100 short bed Styleside within. T'was a "Buy it Now" on ebay a year ago for TWENTY BUCKS + shipping.
Didn't pay shipping cuz the Chinese importer is located in the City of Industry, 5 miles away, so I drove over there and bought three more.
And have gone back several times to buy other die cast: 1963 Galaxie ragtop, 1949 Ford woody, 1955 Olds 88 ragtop, 1957 Chevy Bel-Air HT...ten-twenty bucks each.

Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
This kit has been sold here in Germany, too. I found 3 of those some years ago in a shop for electronic devices in Berlin. I only became attentive to these kits because they were totally displaced in this shop.
On closer examination I became aware “wow, this is my truck !” I asked the salesman for the reason selling these truck kits in his shop. He told me he bought them in another shop and thought of a good deal because there´s a interest in old American Trucks here in Germany….. “but it must be the wrong decade or type ´cause nobody wants these shelf warmers – UGLY TRUCKS !“
Well …. I asked him for the price and a bit bored he answered “ 5 Euro” (6.50 USD) ….. I took one kit box in my hands, made a disparaging facial expression and said OK.
After the salesman stored the 5 Euro in his cash desk he asked me how on earth I could have a interest in this model kit. “Well, because I´m owner of a BIG truck exactly like this kit” The salesman stood there with his mouth open – and I knew he was thinking when he had known this before he would have said “50 Euro” …….
Brought my bargain-buy home and “customized” it a bit to make it a look-a-like of my truck, see pic below. But still it is a ´59 model kit and my truck is a ´60. The second pic shows a model of a ´60 longbed that was made by AMT/Ertl long long ago. (sorry for the poor quality, was a quick shot with my mobile cam).
Does anybody know there is still a model kit of a 1960 F100 available?
Thanks and sorry for hijacking … Tom
