I came home tonight and shut down the truck. Went back out in the garage awhile later and noticed the light on the keypad was still on. I've tried everything I can think of including unhooking both batteries and still can not get the light to turn off. Truck running, headlights on, no matter what the light is still on.
Anyone have any ideas? I'd like to get this corrected.
You lifted the suspension, modified the intake, modified the exhaust, removed a major component of the exhaust, and used an aftermarket tuner. With all the things you have done to your truck you're upset about a keypad light???? You're lucky it still runs!

I agree, chill out man. Things happen. Might just be the driver "door open" switch or something similar. Could be the relay that turns on the parking lights too.

Little wound up huh? Also, none of the things you stated would have anything to do with the keypad light on the door....
I could care less about the keypad light. Obviously something is wrong since the keypad light is stuck on and the parking lights aren't coming on when the doors are opened. Would just like to have it fixed, that's all.
We'll see what the dealer has to say about it on Monday I guess. I thought maybe this had happened to someone else before, guess not.
I'm sorry I can't help you on this or at least point you to a method of elimination. Just saying....you did a lot of stuff. Your issue's root could be electrical or could be a conflict in the computer.
I am wound up. I get irritated when people do all these things to their trucks and get upset when they don't function properly.
I'm not upset with the truck because of this, I would simply like to get this problem corrected so it doesn't drain the batteries when the truck isn't running.
Let us know what you find out from the dealer. I have been thinking about this since you posted it and can't logically think why just the keypad light would stay on, other than some kind of short across two wires somewhere. Other lights should go on and off with the keypad such as the dome, etc. I hope it is something simple where we all end up saying, "Ah, I wish I would of thought of that".

How long did you have the batteries disconnected? I've heard different stories on how long it takes to get a reset, perhaps someone else can chime in?

Relax. The dude is just asking a question. Whats the big deal?
I noticed this samething this morning. I think the key pad has some sort of glow in the dark quality. However, Im quite sure that the actual light(s) was not on.
