Not sure if anyone is interested, but I was inspired by reading about some of you guys getting together to help and teach each other about our trucks. There used to be a service that groups and clubs could "map" their locations to see who lived in the same city or at least nearby or who lives the FARTHEST AWAY! I figured I could use Google's map sharing functionality to replace it.
If anyone is interested, here's the link and you I've made it editable by everyone so you can put in your city of residence and save it to the map.
This is a PUBLIC map so DO NOT PUT IN YOUR HOME ADDRESS!

Yep. doing the same thing to me. hmmmm
edit: Looks like that is about the only way to do it. Looking at chapter maps in FTE; looks like that is how they did it also. Good thinking on the visual representation of the X membership. I like it no matter what Stewart says.
Hey LWW, Here are the instructions if you want to edit it into your original post. I don't need credit, but want to make it easier for everyone to figure out. I did figure out that even if they don't have an account that they can still see the placemarks.

1. Click red "edit" button on the left panel.
2. Zoom to your location or as close as you would like to advertise on a public map.
3. Click on the "Add a Placemark". Make sure you label the Placemark with your User name.
4. Click on the "Done" button on the left.
