My friend has a 07 5.4 F150 with the same programmer. The reason why I chose the sct was because of his truck I was really impressed with his gains but when I got it for mine I wasn't as impressed. It did wake up the truck with advancing the timing, changing the trans pressure, adjusting the revs, and air/fuel I did feel the power but nothing compared to what I was expecting. If its possible for me to get a gryphon even tho I have a SCT tune stuck on my truck I'd get it. When I would use 87 economy I did notice a gain from stock I don't remember exactly what it was

Without power adders like superchargers and other simular mods a programer on a gas engine isn't going to do a whole lot on adding power or torque maybe streamline it like changing the transmission shifts and fuel/spark tables but beyond that you need a custom done tune and more parts.

To Louie, you will have to have a dealer reflash your PCM now that you lost your programer with it's stock recording of the original changes made. You can't get it back any other way.
If that truck goes to another owner and he has a problem, there will be a big issue trying to clear a fault until it is realized the PCM may need to be reflashed at several hundred dollars +/-.
A truck before 04 cannot be compared to a later model that responds more to reprogramming changes.
Never sell a truck with a program change unless the new owner knows about it and is given the programmer or accepts the possible result if something happens without the programmer.

Dang I thought I'd have to do that, do you happen to know how much it'll cost to reflash?
I love my truck to much to sell it
