Just kind of curious to see what mods it would take to get these six liters to make 400 horse and 800 ft/lbs and all supporting mods to handle that kind of power.
How would I get their attention? Ha I was wondering about the specifics on injectors and turbo and maybe trans upgrades. When you say fuel system, do you mean like a FASS system?
Zach I had no Idea I knew he wrenched on them alot but didnt know he had a 10 second Truck
500 hp won't get our trucks into the 10's...you're looking at around twice that much to see those numbers. I think Tim's in the low 13/high 12 sec range.
10 second powerstrokes in street trim are very rare. Shawn ellerton had 2 turbos, gargantuan injectors, a imense amout of fab with a extra hp oil pump and a long list of mods with a health shot of n20 and was in the mid 10's pushing a little over 1000rwhp. 500rwhp would require larger sticks and either a larger turbo or n20 along with studs and a upgraded/ modded fuel system. You would run mid 13's with that. 400-430 rwhp is a race tuned sct tuner. If you want it to be reliable add studs and a egr delete.
Bigger sticks as in 190s, 205s, 240? Buddy of mines got a 06 with 240s aurora 5k, egr deleted, studded and fire ringed heads, banks power intake, afe stage two, custom SCT tuner among other things. Wonder what his power out put is...
i think shawn has 430cc hybrid injectors. and the stock oiling system was tapped at that point even with hybrids. he aded a hydraulic pump to the system to help out since the aftermarket does not have really anything that put out more than the stock hpop with 240s and a single it make make alot of power but it isnt streetable with the lag of that kind of turbo or usable unless your pulling or drag racing
