I have a fuel leak on the top of my fuel filter assembly. (That's what I'm calling it anyway. It's the part that my fuel filter is mounted to.) I don't loose much fuel due to the leak, though it is letting air into my fuel lines. (Not cool!) If my truck sits for a few days it may start and run, or it may run for a bit and shut off due to the air in the lines. Causing me to have to bleed my fuel lines at the injectors. It's become less of a nuisance and more of a big problem lately, because it caused me to be late to work Sunday. I have called around and I haven't been able to find a new Fuel Filter Assembly. I would be fine with just rebuilding it by replacing the seals in it, or replacing it with a new part. I just have no idea where to find the part. If any of you guys know where I could find the part I would greatly appreciate the help.
I also have a part mounted directly behind my intake, it is a silver canister like part that smokes while the truck is running. Any input on that situation would also be greatly appreciated, though it doesn't seem to be a big problem.
Thanks, I'll give it a shot. I've been doing some research and I've found the the part that the fuel filter mounts to is called the fuel filter header. Still haven't found one online though. Perhaps replacing the fuel heater will fix it?
