Hi guys, I have been getting advice for a long time by searching your threads. Now I am stumped. I have an 01 F350 with 7.3. Started fine to go to work, died 1/4 mile down the road. Towed home, changed the CPS, no tach movement and no start. Changed it again, still same thing. Checked fuses, all ok. Tuner is an EDGE with display on dash by door. It had a P0340 code and P1212 code. have over 1/4 tank of fuel, replaced v/c gaskets 2 years ago, oil level ok. Have battery charger on and tried with it and jump start, no smoke no tach movement, nothing. Could I have gotten 2 bad cps's??
fuel bowl had pressure when I pulled cap to chek filter, dont understand the other stuff. My first diesel, I can work a wrench, but this is foreign to me, Sorry, and thanks in advance. Oil pressure comes up after about 10 sec. of cranking if that helps. Check engine lite comes on when I turn the key on. It wont give any new codes.
ICP is the High pressure oil pump pressure
IPR DC is the regulator for the HPOP
Vref is the voltage
The edge should read those numbers. Oh yea and I would sell the edge to get a chip and some good gauges. If you have a sticking IPR it could keep the truck from starting.
To check the fuel pressure get a cheap tire gauge and a thick rag. Turn on the key and push the gauge on the schrader valve on the side of the fuel bowl. Should be 50 to 65 psi.
I get a chuckle out of all you anti Edge guys in here.

Whos going to buy it if its no good?
Ive got a Superchips in my 99 and a Edge in my 02 , the Edge far out performs the Superchips.
Ive had my Edge for years now and it has made me nothing but happy , so if its making me happy and makes my truck go like crazy there cant be that much wrong with it.
i have had the edghe in for 4 years, use it in tow mode and for watching temps, been ok so far, better mileage too. No stumbeling, just took off, got to about 25 with about 12,000 pounds behind it (a light load for me) then died like the key was turned off. It had run for about 10 mins in front of the house warming up, and everything like normal. Codes came off the edge, i dont have a code reader other than the Edge
I won an edge for free at a dyno day. Ran it for 2 days and put my chip back in. Was a smoky loud rattling pig with no power. Also I have seen quite a few bricked pcm's from them. If it works for you run it. I took it as he had just bought the truck
I would revert the edge back to stock. Do you know if its an evolution or juice with attitude? I'll see if I can hunt down some pics. But right before the fuel bowl is the HPOP. On the driver side back of it is where IPR is located. Make sure that the wires are plugged in and tight and that the thin brass nut is there and not finger loose. Those two things can cause the truck to shut off or not start.
Did you go through the PID's on the edge to see if it will read what I posted earlier?
harness's are tight , nuts and lines tight. only able to get codes mentioned earler, cleared them earlier, disconnected batteries to reset comp. no new codes, just confusion
