Thank you for all your help. We have the truck back together, and it is running good so far. Here is a list of parts/labor we put into the truck: (I may miss something, let me know if you see something we should have done and I will see if we did)

New style OEM one piece oil stand pipes, new style dummy plugs
Blue spring upgrade
Factory head gaskets, with ARP studs
one new injector (had a broken wire harness)
Heads resurfaced by machine shop
new injector o-rings (previous mechanic who did 1st rebuild didnt change we think)
cleaned block till shiny, and checked for flatness (also wasn't done first time)
flushed with VC-9 and lots of distilled water, around 9 or 10 flushes total
fuel filters
0 gauge charge wire (we have alot of electrical equipment, and larger batteries)


A few more questions though.

What is the best anti-freeze? we put in silicate free stuff, but what is the general thought of best overall.

What is the best way to get oil temp? We are looking at getting the SCT Touch screen Xtreme, with tunes, from Five star tuning. Does this do oil temp, or do we need something different.

EGT sensor, what is the best way for checking that? Would the Xtreme support (does anyone have one that could chime in?)
