It depends on the mood. Sometimes it is Jack Daniels or Pinot Grigio. Sometimes it is making a great meal for the wife. Othertimes it is cruising in the MG or banging around in the F-3.
It can be reading, hiking, hanging on the beach, fishing, or just doing nothing but rocking on the front porch with ol Sam Adams.
Lets see... Best way I have found to relax is to take one of my mountain bikes back in the woods and get lost for a few hours. But I don't always have time to do that with school and Lacrosse practice, so most of the time its go out and have a few beers with some friends becasue the bars are closer than the trails. thats really kinda sad though. oh well. But what I have found is great is after a long night of craming is to hop on one of my bikes at around midnight and go for an urban assult ride around campus. thats fun and peaceful.
When im at home, i do ever politicains nightmare....play the goreiest shoot 'em ups that i have(yes, im a teen), and when not home i got to the firestation and hang out with my buddies and sometimes i go 4 wheeling.

Glad to see so many responses and great ideas to relax. I'm only 21 and single so I don't have to worry about a wife a girlfriend when I go out riding so I can do whatever Of course I'm failry mild when I'm by myself so I don't end up laying there with a broken neck. I guess I've always enjoyed being outside so anything outside helps me relax. Another thing I forgot to mention was getting in my pick-up and just driving the back roads. Something else that helps me relax but might sound kind of weird to some, spending a few days on the tractor farming. As long as nothing breaks down that is I guess being out in the fields and being able to see the fruits of your labor are relaxing. As for riding 4-wheeler, I'm only about 10-15 miles from the Black Hills and I've never been riding in the timber, just the open prairie and on creeks. I've enjoyed reading all the responses and hope to see more
After a stressful day, I come home and pound on my drums as hard as I can and as fast as I can. By the time I'm done, I'm playing funky offbeat jazz riffs with a smile on my face.
I like to fly fish for relaxation...I get out on the water and the sound of the river mellows me out right nice.
Snowboarding also gives me a groovy buzz, especially when I am just carving the corduroy by myself with my CD player. That's a nice feeling.
I guess anything that has a good rhythm to it helps me relax...

In the winter I like to ski, build wooden model boats and target shoot. When it's warm out I like to play frisbee golf, mountian bike, race the gokart, or drive around in the spitfire. (When I'm not working on it.)
Frisbee Golf rules. That's a good way to relax with your buddies.
I also like to camp out in front of my computer monitor and talk to you guys. That's relaxing...

Playing music ain't a bad way to pass the time eather!
I know my way around the classical guitar, and once in awhile I like to get out my bass, plug it into my old bassman amp and thump a bit.
I have a nice 15 mile drive home, after 35 or 40 miles of interstate traffic, on a 2 lane country road. I watch the horses and cattle just meandering around, worried about the next tuft of grass that will be their next meal. I watch for deer, rabbits, hawks, and eagles. Their biggest worry is where their next meal might come from. Now, that's peaceful to me. When I get home, I pet my 2 horses, pet all 5 dogs, and look at the trees and rose bushes we planted to see how they are doing. By that time, what worries? Work was over an hour ago, and the night is still young, heck, I got 3 hours of daylight left. What projects to start now? I've only got 5 or 6 going, and none of those is my truck, yet.
The next best thing, is closing my eyes and imagining all the progress I get made on my projects. Man, if I could only finish half as much in person as I do in my dreams. That would be relaxing.
Motorcycle riding.
The more agressive the ride the more "destressing" it is. When trying to run thru twisties at a "brisk pace" you don't have time to think about anything else.
