Rear glass problems

I have an 88 Bronco II the back glass in the hatch has started to ratlle and allow water in during hard rains i have tried adjusting the latch but it had no affect. I was wondering is there a bushing or anything that is supposed to be on the latch rod?
Has anyone else experianced this problem and if so how can it be fixed?
thanks
Curt

Rear glass problems

Are the Struts ok or are they loose and worn out? How is the rubber weather strip gasket? The gasket is what keeps the window secure on my 84 B II. There is also a little adjustment on the catch under the plastic Tailgate Cover maybe 1/8". Just a few things to check.
