do you have the owners manual for it. if so then inside the black case that its in is a white card with a code on it. this is your default factory code. if you dont have this card then you can look up in the dash around the radio and the control module for the keyless entry is up there. the code is printed on a sticker on it too as well. although, does it even work? if you press any button on it i belive that the inside lights in the truck should come on. also the keypad will light up too. i have my card but can set a new code because something is wrong with my keypad. it lights up but the lights in the truck dont come on. but i really dont need it anyway.

hope this helps. some others may chime in as well.

I think the module is behind the glovebox, I remember a code somewhere behind it.

If you can't find the code there's a crack here:https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...l#post10496445. You enter blocks of numbers and eventually hit the correct combo. Takes time but eventually get's it done. It only lets you do so many key strokes until it locks the keypad , just cycle the key in the ignition if it does. Keep the keys with you outside the truck!

take the radio out and the box should be behind the radio, well that were it is on a 04 model. there will be a code written on a sticker. look in the owner manual to see how to set your personal code. or you can just use the factory code. not hard to do/set new code.

@texqstech i went through over half of the numbers to try and get it... about an hour and a lot of beer with no joy....ill go more when i get up today but dam..lol. i dont really want to yank the radio out of this dash. does ford charge to give you the code? i looked under the entire dash for anything with a number on it and found nothing.. if i didnt have a cold beer in my hand i would not have put in as many numbers as i did. any more help ???

The factory radio takes about 10 seconds to pull and unplug. The tool is available at any autoparts store for <$10.

On my 07 (OP's 06 should be the same), you have to pull the dash cover and then take out four bolts to remove the radio. It's not like the older ones with the 4 holes you could jam a coat hanger in and pop the radio out.

Pulling the cover isn't hard, I start from the passenger side and carefully pop it all loose, then work back through and take all the electrical connectors off.

On 05 & up they are not behind the radio. Pull the mini glove box under the brake controller all the way down. Look up in there with a light you will see a bunch of insulation. Push the insulation up with a long screwdriver or similar tool with your head pretty much on the carpet. The code will be in bold black letters on a white sticker on the module. You really gotta lift the cotton up & get your head down so you can get the right angle. It is there. Just did it for a buddy last week took me 30 seconds. First time though I was looking for hours! Good luck.

The dealer can flash it for you too. If you have an 'in' with a service writer, it won't cost a dime.
