86 xlt lariat gas gauge issue
hello everybody, I just bought an 86 xlt lariat with a 351w carbureted. the gas gauge doesnt work. but the truck does run even when the selector is in F or R. i checked the fuse under the dash and its good. the funny thing is the oil pressure gauge isnt working either and its on the same side as the gas gauge, makes me think theres something going on in the dash. now i havent had a truck with a dual tank so if you have suggestions and instructions on what to do on how to fix the gas gauge please be a bit descriptive thank you.

Check for grounds. Sensor wire off at oil sender on block. Instrument cluster panel comes out easily. Do a search on this site. There is the option to go digital. Autometer gas gauges are expensive though.
