In a previous thread I had posted that I thought that my EGR cooler might have been going out due to coolant loss in the degas bottle in my '06 250, but my symptoms did not consist of puking or white smoke from the exhaust. I began the process of investigation and came to the realization the previous owner in their short period of had place an EGR delete. So, that eliminated my hopeful thoughts of an easy diagnosis of my coolant loss. As of yesterday I took the truck into a trusted diesel shop in the area to have them do a hydrocarbon test in the coolant system since I had done one already myself which had not came up positive. This time it did come back positive for hydrocarbons, which made me realize that it has to be my head gaskets.
Thankfully the truck is still under warranty with the dealership and is in the process of being torn down and having a full process of elimination done to pin point the exact problem. Since it is still under warranty and I'm not really having any out of pocket expenses the dealership will not do the ARP studs. To get to the point has anyone had any positive outcome with the updated OEM head bolts and gaskets.
Engine wise it is stock aside from the EGR delete and turbo back straight exhaust. Everything else is cosmetic and suspension. It's really a commuter and a farm truck, but doesn't pull anything other than a 17' aluminum boat and trailer once in a while.

You state " Should be ok so long as you don't stick a tuner on it....or tow heavy."
How much is "tow" heavy? Mine's a stock 06 DRW 350 and I tow an 8K lbs tow hauler thru AZ. Your opinion is highly prized here and I appreciate all you do for the FTE
I towed anywhere from 10-24k lbs with my 6.0L over 5 years and 104k miles. Went 93k miles of that on stock bolts. When the heads were yanked, the gaskets looked flawless. I attribute that to a lot of things, especially cooling system maintenance, but it can be done folks.
I would ask them what they wouldn't warranty, if it's only the Studs themselves so what they don't fail, if it's your warranty on everything engine related is voided i'd take that to a higher level. Studs don't affect other things, HPOP ICP Injectors Oil Cooler EGR Etc.
I did mention that I would purchase the studs and they went back to say that they would not warranty the work.
You might talk to them again, but generally what goes down is Ford won't warranty parts that fail because of the aftermarket parts. In this case your talking headgaskets and if someone wanted to really be a jerk about heads & block (they're connected to the studs). But any Ford shop that's been around a 6.0L knows, the TTY bolts are a joke. The ARP fix the problem once and for all. The only time someone has had an issue is when the heads were checked for flatness/cracks or the studs weren't installed correctly. I'd ask them what part of the warrenty is voided if they install the studs. If they say headgaskets...I say go for it. If they install them correctly you'll never have to deal with blowing again.
