I have been running this single spin on filter for a while now and going to do an oil change and damn near fell over when I saw the price. They are up to $48 at Amsoil. It was like just over half that not to long ago maybe a year. Does anyone know what other filter I could use thats a 2micron. Or does anyone know where to get these cheaper? I would prefer to stick with the Amsoil filter but just feel like I am getting bent over hard. thanks
No I havent found anything yet. I am just paying the $48 to Amsoil. I am still upset abou it but its not as bad right now as I am doing oil changes on time instead of miles now. I only work 18mi round trip to work and local driving on the weekend so I am changing the oil once a year now as I am only doing around 7500-9000mi per year. I was doing 10-15K per year before the job change but running synthetic and the amsoil by-pass I just do it once a year as with all the other filters, tranny and coolant. I do the fuel every 6mo.
I just checked their dealer site and it is $36.10 there. You could also use the EaBP100 (that is the one I used on my 6.0 when I had it). The price for that one is $31.75. If you buy anything else from them it may be worth the $30 fee to become a dealer and get the discounted products. I buy all my oil for my truck and farm equipment there, so it works for me.
