I missed your posts -look forward to more panel progress updates.

Hey Ben,

It's not a completely Julie-less forum, we still have mine.

Welcome back AX, good to have as many folks as possible to pick up tips from. Tee-hee

Welcome back.
Yes, kept the house and garage. She "let me have" anything that still had money owed on it, including 20K of CC debt she ran up in my name. Now I have to get rid of some of it to get the rest of payments down to where I can afford them, SS doesn't pay me much, and she took 1/2 my IRA (of what was left after the recession took 1/2) which paid off all her debt plus some.

Glad you're back and surviving the "Big D". Mine will be final on the 13th, so you're not the only one starting over. I got to keep the dog, the house, all the vehicles except hers, my 401K, and my bank account. Really all she took was a houseful of new furniture. I got off easy! Pre-nups are a beautiful thing.

Wish now I had a prenup, but 26 years ago and even up to the time she left I was madly in love with her. She had run up 120K in CC bills I didn't know about until last year 6 month before she left. I paid down 60K mostly CC in her name. Then she left for someone else.

Been down big "D" road a couple of times but the third marriage is the charm...or at least it has been for me.

Sorry to hear you got shafted like that. Glad you got to keep the truck. Welcome back.

I guess I got lucky when she gave me back the ring and called off the engagement. The few times I got divorced were back before I had anything for them to take!! I have decided that I won't be making the "get married' mistake again.

One of my favorite lines is; "Screw her, I did."

I heard of one guy that never would get married because he was sure it would end in divorce.

So, he found a woman he hated and gave her a house.

Hi and welcome back.
I really find your posts very interesting and informative. Sorry to hear about your bad luck.
In case I didn't thank you before I will thank you now for the post on how to transfer pics from photo bucket to here. I printed it out and keep it by my computer all the time. It has been a great help.
Bye for now and good luck.
