Retired, but working. bummer. Unless of course, you are working in order not to be bored at home. The only way I can retire is if I win the lotto, and since I don't play the lotto, I don't think I have a chance to win.

Hank, still awaiting a response from my PM... Uuuh, so wha-da-ya think?
Thanks Tim but I`m no good at that type of stuff. Running my own co. was different, besides maybe some new blood can take over.

I'll be tiling a floor, probably tomorrow at my house. I'm also installing radiant heaters below the tile. I'll do this if things move smooth on Saturday as Sunday I'm suppose to play guitar at the church Sunday morning and then comes the Super Bowl in the afternoon...
Never done the heaters before so it'll be interesting. Only tiled once before and that was probably 10 years ago... But I live clear over on the East side of the Sierras so I guess I'm on my own. Wish me luck. Thanks for so graciously offering to help your FTE brothas.

I got fed up, had a melt down, was eligible to retire and figured life is too short to be fed up. Self said to self, WTF go for it. Then, about a year later, the wife told me of a 5 year plan to pay everything off so we could both retire completely and "suggested" that I get off my butt and get a job. I applied for the first job I found on the internet just to get her off my back. Guess what, I got a call to come in for an interview and the rest is history.
If I'd of known I was going to be working a full time job, I'd have probably bit the bullet and not retired in the first place, as I make less salary now for more hours of work. Go figure.

I have to disagree, Hank. Sorry. I think you'd be great at it. Give it some thought. It is good to have a pool of candidates in any election. That's the American way.

That sucks about working more hours for less pay. When I lost my "dream job" doing the computer troubleshooting I had to accept the fast food job, and worked a lot less hours for a lot less pay. My income dropped 75%! Which is one of the reasons I am in the mess I am in now. They used that job to compute my unemployment, not the much higher paying job (because they only go back 18 month.s).

If nobody else volunteers, then I guess I will throw my hat in the ring. Have not heard from Joe since he said he would volunteer himself.

I think I noticed that Joe did leave an "LOL" at the end of his post. He might have been speaking tongue and cheek.

Yeah, I wondered about it too, as did Steve, so I called him, and he did indeed say he was interested in being chapter leader.

Give me a little more notice and surely I could fit you in. Sorry but me an my kid are making chile today for Sunday. Soaked beans before bed. His recipe but I must add this, it started out as my Portuguese kale an beans before he took over. If`n ya`ll dont mind here`s my concoction:
Ingredients
• 1 (16 ounce) packages dry pink beans

• 1 pound bacon, cut into 1/4 inch slices
• 2 pounds linguica sausage or Italian sausage (half and half hot-mild)
• 2 red onions, chopped
• 2 cloves elephant garlic, chopped
• 1 tablespoon ground black pepper
• 1 tablespoon fresh ground dry peppers
• 1 tablespoon dried savory
• 1 tablespoon ground cumin
• 1 1/2 teaspoons smoked paprika
• 1 bunch kale, stemmed and chopped
• 3 chipotle chiles in adobo sauce, finely chopped
Directions
1. Place the pink beans into a large container and cover with several inches of cool water; let stand 8 hours or overnight.
2. Drain and rinse the beans; pour fresh water into the pot, covering the beans by 3 inches. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce the heat to low; cover and simmer gently.
3. Place the bacon into a large skillet set over medium heat. Cook and stir until the bacon has released its grease and has browned, but not become crisp, about 10 minutes. Once done, remove the bacon with a slotted spoon and stir into the beans. While the bacon is cooking, peel the skin off of the linguica and discard. Cut the sausages in half lengthwise, then slice into 1/4 inch thick half moons. Add the sausage to the skillet, and cook until the sausage has browned. Remove with a slotted spoon and stir into the beans.
4. Stir the onion and garlic into the remaining grease and cook until the onion has softened and turned translucent, about 5 minutes. Stir the onions and garlic into the simmering beans along with the black pepper, savory, cumin, and paprika. Cover and continue simmering for 4 hours.
5. Stir the kale and chipotle pepper into the beans, and continue simmering 1 to 2 hours until the beans have broken up and thickened to your desired consistency

I should have my own T.V show,,,,Chef Hanklin

Are you referring to the "heated tile mat"? Those systems are nice. Keep those tootsies warm!
