Unhappy COOLANT LEAKS

i first smelled coolant after driving the 2011 f-350 kr dually pickup. than the next day i noticed about a 3" diameter spot on the garage floor. it was coming down from the front and just off center towards the driver's side of the engine. anyone having any coolant leak problems?

Yep had the exact same problem with my truck at 45,000 miles. Had a small pin hole in the radiator more towards the driver side . I think this will be an issue with alot of these trucks its just a matter of time. Warranty covered mine and it was replaced. I also pointed it out to some other guys that have new trucks and they also found out theirs were leaking too after inspection. The 6.4L also had similar issues.

I had a new radiator at 59,000 miles. Including the five I had replaced in my '08 6.4 this made 6 radiators in the last 4-5 years.

I dunno what it is about me but I think I have the award for most radiators......

I know, it's crazy. Friends in the 6.4 forum might have one or two go out, most have zero issues. It is strange. Only thing I do is two things, I drive a lot and I tow at least 6,000 pounds of trailer all the time. I don't get crazy heavy and I'm certainly not the only one that works my truck like this.

I never had an engine problem from the 6.4 or the 6.7 though. Main reason I got the new motor was this cooling system issue and the 6 speed trans. Funny how things go.

I had a leaky water pump replaced under warranty at about 30,000 kM.
Is this where it is leaking from?
If so it is water pump.
There are at least a few here that have had leaky water pumps.

Thanks

Hey Darren, did you take your truck in for the water pump with the tuner/exhaust on?

Yes sir (but they already know it was tuned).
I LOVED driving into the "drive in" service area. Gave her a little blast before I shut it down and a few people hit the deck

I did not intend to hijack, should be noted that the water pump leak is a real possibility. I'm habitually thrown into leaky radiator hysteria.........

Apologies. First round is on me.

Marine,

Had my radiator replaced at 23k. Puddle on the floor was coming from drivers side very front of the frame.

Replaced under warranty.
