pulsating lights

lights are pulsating&gauge is bouncing lightly.changed alt. did not solve the problem.any ideas? could it be light switch? truck is 1999 f350 thanks.

Hey there, not sure about your problem but someone here most likely knows the answer. BUT they will need to know which lights are pulsating(headlights, dome light, blinkers, etc. etc.) and what gauge is bouncing, I am guessing the volt meter.

pulsating lights

the problem is all lights are flashing like it's a cop car. volt meter jumps all the time even when lights are off. like i said changed alt. to no avail.would appreciate any advice thanks

Did you double check your battery grounds?

pulsating lights

i have cleaned both terminals but not checked the cables themselves.would this be next move?

Cables have 2 ends. Yes, check them, and the ground straps that go to the engine.

If you find no issues, have your battery (or batteries) tested. Also, was the alternator a new one, or a rebuilt? I've had many rebuilt alternators that were not correct.
