Hey guys just wondering if the magnaflow Y pipe for the 92 f150 5.0L is a good aftermarket Y section. I know everyone says build one yourself but I think for me an easier bolt up would be best for me. Im not looking for super perfomance or anything but a little better then stock would be nice.
Almost anything is better than the factory y-pipe and dual converter setup. The Magnaflow will be a good start to uncork that 5.0L engine you have. It will bolt up to factory manifolds or shorties. It's a good start with a stock engine and limited funds, IMHO.
thats kinda what i was hoping to hear lol. I have shorties laying around that i could use and i already have a cat back exhaust so i would like to do the y pipe and cats so i dont have to worry about it down the road
I believe the Bassani is/was the best bolt on Y-pipe for our trucks but I know it has gotten pretty hard to find recently since they stopped production.
Honestly, I haven't gone WOT once in that truck since installing it (actually, long before then, too). My purpose for buying the Magnaflow y-pipe was simply lack of free time to weld one up. The stock y-pipe was completely deteriorated.
