Wheel and tire selection

I have an 06 super cab 4x4. I put a 2" leveling kit on the front and I ordered some wheels and tires for it this week. The tires I chose were nitto terra grapplers. What are your guys experience with these tires? Good traction and longevity? Also the tire size I chose was a 275/65/20. I believe that equates to a 34.09"x10.87" Does anyone have this size on their truck? Any rubbing issues? If so I would appreciate some pics so I can visualize it. Thanks

Why ask the questions AFTER ordering the wheels and tires?

I got a little excited at the tire store and went ahead and ordered what I wanted. I've researched many tires, I just wanted some first hand experience with them from some folks on the forum.

That tire size should be fine, its the wheel back spacing that will get you in trouble

I wanna say the offset is +18. they are 20x9, the guy at wheel 1 said they should set flush with the fender well.

You will be pleased with the Nitto's they are a nice tire. I love mine and will be putting Nittos on again when I burn these out.

Just so you know with the offset you have and the size of the tire expect to do some trimming as you will most likely have some rubbing with only a 2" level.

Mostly just having to trim up the valence? I am sure I will have to take the plastic mud flaps off.

Maybe can't say for sure. Most people would not go above 33" with 2" only so might have some rubbing on the bumper itself. But then again maybe you won't.

Thanks, I will pm him and see if he had to shave anything to prevent rubbing, I am pitting mine on xd monsters. The guy at the tire store just didn't have much knowledge on which wheels would rub and which wouldn't. I wanted to go as tall as I could without having issues

275 is stock width. So unless the offset is severe you should be ok. I run a 275/60/20 on stock 20" with NO level.

Great! So a 275/65 should be alright then. What's my best option for having my speedometer adjusted for the larger tires?

Again...fitment depends on the wheel specs which you didn't provide. If your close to stock you should be fine.

As for reprogramming...you will likely need to look into a tuner.
