And in the spirit of a successful forum such as this one, they all get answered over and over and over. Part of what I have noticed here is that with all the repeat questions, the veteran forum members patiently answer all of them.

Yeah, aint that a kick?

I had to realign my way of thinking when I started posting here on a regular basis (a few years after I registered) because all the other forums I've ever frequented, it sure aint like that!

Here's that CARB PDF about what's allowed and not when it comes to smog testing diesels in Kalifornica:

Print it out. Take it along.

Even so, some smog techs have their heads where it shouldn't be, and what they don't know, you can't tell 'em!

That is what the search function is for, in theory.

By definition our turbos are mufflers. Have you ever heard a strait piped diesel that didn't have a turbo? Those things are LOUD!!! So there are such things are muffler bearings if you think about it. Just trying to figure out the blinker fluid one.

Yeah, that was my next question! Will a light come on when my blinker fluid is low? and which type should I use to re-fill it?

Yes, I'm just kidding.

No. Same as the intake. All exhaust systems (turbo back) have been OK'd by CARB.

Just find a post by Marv (SpringerPop) and check his sig. The last time I looked, he has all the CARB smog check stuff linked in his sig.

Does your valve cover sticker state your rig came with a cat? You might also have a sticker on the bottom of your hood, next to the latch.

What year is your truck? What trans does it have?

Trey, post here long enough and you'll see the same questions get posted over and over and over and over and over and over.......

I'll check the sticker when I get home from work. It's an '02 and it has the 4R100. thank you for your help! I did print out that CARB link for referrence

So I read all theCARB stuff. Is there any tuners period that are CARB approved. I couldn't find any. I had mine smoged last year at a smog only place, it was easy, with my DP tuner. I know they were rejected at that time but so many more where waiting approval. Now none of that stuff applies. Anybody had luck with theirs in the last month or so.
