AOD Shifter ???
Hey Isaiah,
You know I never even considered putting the AOD shifter on
the floor of the cab - It just never occurred to me that was an option.
I always think of mustangs with bucket seats & the shifter in the middle -
I think it's a great idea. Getting the AOD shifter to line up with an after market column like I have has not been very straight forward.
Look forward to seeing your latest truck pics. I'll post one of mine later
with the new side exit exhaust - It looks good (thanks Zoot for that
nice pic of your white truck with side exhaust).

Here's what a double bend looks like in a '49
Shifter?
Ok, so now I see a great picture of a really nice aftermarket shifter in a nice truck with the original column. And the column still has the original tube on top of it that used to be the shifter.
I'm not cheap, but I used the original column and the original shifter to hook my 302 and AOD up. Not hard, not expensive, not a problem for somebody sitting in the middle of the bench seat either.

True, but there is no way of positively locking the shifter into park. Or even having detents for any of the other gears. Then there is the neutral safety switch that is really nice to have so that it won't take off on you if it's in a gear.
