Oil plug washer size?

My truck has the slow drip syndrome. I've heard that nylon washers are the way to go. Where to get and what is best? Nylon or? What size?

I've had **** poor luck with the plastic ones. They tend to loosen up by themselves. I still think copper is the way to go, although you can find some metal ones with a built in o-ring that seem to work well also.

I believe the correct size is M14, but that's just going off memory. I'd have to look out in the barn to be sure.

I just don't like the idea of having an easy open valve on the most important drain on my truck. Just seems easy to forget and or someone else to just decide to open randomly to be an a$$.

It is an M14. Youcan get copper ones at O'reilly, A/zone, etc. I use a new one each time. They are about $2.50 for 6.
