You have to drill holes in your cab. There is no way I'd ever do that to my truck. The lights you just have to tap in to the circuit for tail lights or parking lights. You'd have to run a wire down you A pillar to do so.
Ive seen your youtube vids. Wish i could sone of the nice trucks you do up here in central ny. I do like the like ive been coming into some money parting 95 f150. Just kinda wanted customize my 87 f150 and was seeing what was involved of doing this
i wish i would have bought the lighted one. this is the second truck ive had one on and i love them. i didnt have a loss of mileage enough to notice anyway. and if you dont want to drill into your cab they do have automotive glues that work great.
mine has been on the 88 since it was 3 days old. i put silicone on and around the holes before putting the screws in. no leaks at all over the past 23 years.

On my 89, i put big gobs of touch up paint on the screws and then threaded them in, no leaks either
i suppose if i drilled the screws the exact size they are sopposed to be paint the screws and around and put silocone on where i put the screws in it would be fine or if i just what ever that adhesive is that somebody used i would be safe.

Your really gonna have a post up a pic of this 88 of yours, heard alot about it, never seen it. I'm getting more and more curious
i can't believe you have never seen pictures of the Rattletrap John.
it started life as a F-superduty cab chassis.
i put a Dana 60 from a 86 F-350 under the front, BW1356 transfer case on the trans, and a 10.25 SRW rear in the back, then made tabs to mount the SRW bed on it.
in 04 i took the ZF-5 speed out of it and put a C-6 in after the trans and transfer case decided to plow up at around 250,000 miles
here is a link to my gallery page for the Rattletrap
it is starting to look like the one you "did some work on"
the bed has been replaced, and the new cab is sitting on the car hauler waiting for it to warm up.
i may also be making it back into a dually and putting a dump body on it.
