Chad, some very goor imput, I think I will do some measuring and look into the 285 or the 305 size, has anyone ran that tire size on stock f-250 4x4 short bed, in regards to the nitto's. my buddy ran them on his dodge and he hated them, so I think I will stay away from them, will I have to have the speedo recal????
So what would be the max a guy can fit under these things for tire size without a lift? Anyone?
Sorry, can't remember / find what the wheel are. They are pretty low end, will see what they look like after winter. I was not sure if -12mm offset was what I wanted or not so I didn't spend a bunch on them.
I had the 325/60R20's on the stock 20" rims. They measure 35.6 x 13". They rubbed on the link bar in the picture shown below.
The 325/60R20's do not work with stock suspension on -12MM offset rims without cutting and bending.
I go through a set of tires each year, so here is my opinion.
Stock michelins were great. I got 59,000 miles out of them and they performed very well.
Bridgestone dueler a/t Revo 2. My favorite tires. Period. Have them on now.
Wrangler dura tracks, my second fav tire. Just a little noisy for highway driving like I do, great tire but not for my work truck.
Wrangler silent armor, great tire just as quiet and durable as the others, good choice.
I don't like nitto, loud and wore terribly.
Stock dunlops on my '08 were horrible.
Just about the same opinion as others. Hope this helps. I always rotate within 5,000 miles and run 72psi unless I get really heavy.
If I had a truck of my own that did not run 55,000 miles a year I would have duratrac's or toyo mt. Interstate driving is all I do though so my favorites are based on balance of quiet and traction in grass, mud, and snow.

I have run 4 sets of 285/75/18(Toyo's AT) without problems or rubbing on stock suspension. All on stock 18" wheels. They are basically a skinny 35. Anything wider on the stock wheel is going to start rubbing unless offset is changed.

I was going to replace the tires on my truck before I even laid eyes on it when I thought it was coming with the Contitracs, but since I believe it'll have the Michelins on it, I'm more than happy to leave them on it.
I had the Dueller A/T Revo's on my '02 F350 V10, and while they were AWESOME for the first 20,000kms, they SUCKED after that. Even with regular rotation and meticulously managing the pressuers, I only got about 45,000kms (30,000 miles) out of them until they were absolutely bald. I wouldn't buy them again.
I was planning to go with either the Goodyear Silent Armors, or my dark horse candidate, the Cooper Discoverer AT3's (nice looking E rated tire with a 50,000 mile treadlife guarantee) depending on price.
I put on a set of Cooper AT3's in December. Unfortunately we have had next to nothing for snow this year so I don't know yet how they handle the white stuff. The AT3 replaced Cooper's ATR and I like the new tread design. They'll get some use and abuse this year so I'll have a better idea if it was a good choice.
There are lots of guys running the Hankook RF10's around here and seem to like them for traction and tread life.
